Chicken Biryani in Dubai — the AED 10 ‘10er’, dum-cooked
Bone-in chicken, marinated overnight, layered over saffron Sella rice and slow-cooked in a sealed copper deg over charcoal. A flat AED 10 — available across Dubai and the UAE.
Searching for chicken biryani near you in Dubai? The 10er is the plate that started it all: bone-in chicken, real dum, and a price that has stayed at ten dirhams. It's cooked the traditional way and served as a proper, full meal — not a food-court shortcut. Walk in, take it away hot, or get it delivered.
What’s on the plate
Every 10er is bone-in chicken, marinated overnight in yoghurt and freshly ground spices, then layered over long-grain saffron Sella rice so the masala works its way through every grain. It comes with cucumber raita, mirchi ka salan and a wedge of lemon at no extra charge. Prefer no bones in the lunchbox? The boneless chicken biryani is the same masala with hand-cut thigh meat and a deeper char, for AED 12.
How it’s cooked (real dum)
Dum means slow steam. We seal the pot — a copper deg — with a rope of dough and let the biryani finish in its own trapped steam over charcoal. Nothing is pre-cooked and reheated; the rice and chicken cook together in one sealed pot until the seal is cracked at service. That crust-crack and the rush of aroma is the whole point of dum. If you want the long version, read what dum biryani actually is.
Price & portion
The 10er is a flat AED 10 — a generous, full plate meant to fill you up, not a taster portion. The wider board runs from AED 8 for veg up to AED 18 for prawn, with a Family Dum that serves four for AED 35. Every plate still comes with raita, salan and lemon. See the full menu and prices.
Halal & sourcing
All our chicken is halal. We don’t serve pork or alcohol, anywhere. The approach is simple, honest cooking — fresh masala, real Sella rice, marinated and cooked to order — which is exactly how a plate this good stays at ten dirhams. Curious how the maths works? Here’s how we keep the cheapest biryani in Dubai honest.
