Good questions

Biryani, answered

Prices, halal, branches, delivery and catering — the things everyone asks before their first 10er.

How is it actually 10 dirhams? What's the catch?

No catch. We own our supply chain, our kitchens are small, our menu is short, and we don't pay for fancy fit-outs or delivery-franchise margins. We cut middlemen, not corners — so the savings land on the plate, not on the bill.

What biryanis do you serve, and what do they cost?

The 10er (chicken) is AED 10. Here's the rest:

  • Veg biryani — AED 8
  • Egg biryani — AED 9
  • Boneless chicken — AED 12
  • Beef biryani — AED 12
  • Mutton biryani — AED 15
  • Prawn biryani — AED 18 (Friday special)
  • Family Dum, serves 4 — AED 35

Every plate comes with raita, mirchi ka salan and lemon. See the full menu.

Is the AED 10 biryani smaller than other places'?

No — it's a generous, full plate, not a taster portion. The low price comes from how we run the business, not from serving you less.

Is everything halal?

Yes. All our meat is halal, sourced from approved UAE suppliers. We don't serve pork or alcohol at any branch.

Do you have vegetarian and Jain options?

The veg biryani is fully vegetarian. We can prepare a Jain version (no onion, garlic or root vegetables) on request, with about 30 minutes' notice — call ahead.

Where is your Bur Dubai location?

Use our Bur Dubai location page for the exact Google Maps pin and directions. The place currently appears as “Suleman Usman Mithaiwala Restaurant and Sweets – BurDubai.”

What are your opening hours?

We're open daily, 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM, for walk-in, takeaway and delivery.

Do you deliver? Which apps are you on?

Yes — you'll find us on Talabat, Careem, Noon Food and Deliveroo. Or message us directly on WhatsApp (+971 55 713 3786) and order like a friend.

Do you use frozen meat or pre-cooked rice?

No frozen meat and no pre-cooked rice. Everything is cooked fresh each day using the dum method — marinated, layered and slow-cooked to order.

Do you do catering or large orders?

Yes. For bulk orders from 50 packs, choose a 250 g chicken biryani pack for AED 10 or a 500 g chicken pulao pack for the same AED 10. We also distribute sponsored meals to labour camps, hospitals, mosques, schools, weddings and majlises across the UAE. See our bulk meal distribution service or WhatsApp us with the quantity, date and location.

What comes with a standard plate?

Cucumber raita, mirchi ka salan and a wedge of lemon come with every biryani. Sides and sweets — karak chai, chilled mango lassi, gulab jamun and more — are on the menu too.

Do your prices ever go up?

The 10er has been ten dirhams since 2014, and we've absorbed cost increases to keep it there. We don't plan to change that.
